In this episode, we compare life to the monotony of a merry-go-round. This analogy works because we get stuck in the same routine, and before we know it, we’re just along for the ride instead of enjoying it.

Oftentimes, we stop the merry-go-round unintentionally with something like sickness, divorce, etc. But, more times than not, it takes a conscious decision to stop the merry-go-round and take control of our journey.

JD talked about being on a “merry-go-round” with a good career, neighborhood, and friends, but he ultimately felt like he was becoming someone he wasn’t meant to be. Thus, he knew he had to make a change.

Overall, this episode was about taking a leap of faith when the comfort of staying where you are feels more harmful than embarking on a journey that may have an uncertain destination at first.
